A few weeks ago the owner of Insoles and Beyond (http://www.insolesandbeyond.com) sent me a pair of Sof Sole Airr for Women insoles to try at work and write a review.
I wore them in my Danskos and got some intense leg pain. I think it was too much arch support for me. I took them out and then put them in my work out shoes and really like them. My knees feel great and supported and my feet aren’t as sore after working out. Also, whenever I go in for meetings/non-patient care I wear my old Toms. They don’t offer much for support so I tried them in there and they felt great. My feet didn’t hurt/ache at all.
When the owner asked me which product I wanted to try, I wanted to give those compression sleeves a shot because I’d see that pin on Pinterest of the pink sleeves, and they looked so so fly. However, the owner told me the sleeves weren’t good for those long 12 hour shifts. We need full compression socks, guys – not sleeves!
I also really like their website. It’s fresh/clean and easy to navigate. There’s also a section just for nurses! Woo-hoo!
They have also been kind enough to sponsor a nursey giveaway! WOO HOO even more!
We will be giving away a $50 website credit (again, http://www.insolesandbeyond.com), which is open to international winners as well!
Note: giveaway prizes have no cash value and can only be used to buy merchandise
To enter the giveaway, you must comment on this post and tell me the last time you were super proud of your patient. The giveaway begins today and will end in one week (Oct. 26 – Sept. 2) at midnight. Please make sure that with your comment you leave an email address that you frequently check because that’s how you’ll be notified. The winner will be selected by the awesomeness of your story.
My example entry: the last time I was really proud of my patient was about a month ago when my stroke patient who couldn’t talk well passed her swallow evaluation and then transferred out of intensive care. She was so happy she could eat, but was so scared to leave me to go to the floor that she cried as I transferred her.
BONUS! The owners of Insoles and Beyond have also graciously granted 15% off for our readers for the duration of the giveaway! Just use the promotion code Nurse15 to get the discount.
How awesome is that!? Thanks for lovin’ us nurses, Insoles and Beyond!
