For this week’s product review, I am going to discuss a website called CEUFast.com. Thank you to CEUFast.com for partnering with me for this post. All opinions are my own and this review is completely honest.
CEUFast.com is a website in which you can get all of your nursing continuing education credits. It’s your one-stop shop for getting all of the credits you’ll need to renew your license. I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like the mail-in ones. It just seems so old school. I’d rather do it online, honestly.
CEUFast.com recently completely overhauled their site. It is a major, major improvement. Not that the old site was terrible, but this is way easier to use and looks clean and streamlined.
One of the first things I noticed was that it is ANCC accredited. That’s a big deal in the nursing world. The ANCC “accredits healthcare organizations that provide and approve continuing nursing education” (per their website). So, when I saw the ANCC logo front and center on the site, I knew it was legit.

Here’s some info about their services and my experience..
You have the option of a free trial.
The free trial means you can take any course and the exam, you just can’t get the CEU certificate. You do not have to put in credit card info for the free trial (yay!). Once you purchase, you can then get the CEU’s you worked on during the free trial and any subsequent ones.
The cost is $30 for an unlimited one-year subscription. It does not auto-renew. As a consumer, I really appreciate that it doesn’t auto-renew. I don’t have to try to remember to cancel it a year from now, ultimately forget, and attempt to get a refund if I didn’t want to continue the service. They’ll send you an email reminder letting you know that it will be expiring soon, but they won’t charge your card again 12 months from now. Major nurse bonus points there.
After being in the field for a while and getting a lot options for CEU completion from many different venues, I definitely feel like $30 for one year is very reasonable.
You can use it on your home computer, tablet, or phone. Earn CEU’s whilst lying in bed in my jammies with a little Law and Order: SVU on in the background, you say? Don’t mind if I do..
Completing your profile is really easy. Just a few things to put in (name, address, etc.) and then you register your license number and you’re done. They also have a link in their “HELP” section to every state’s board of nursing so that you can easily see the requirements to maintain and renew your license. They also provide a link to each state’s board of nursing website as well.
I never remember my license number, so I always go to the NC BON website and click “verify license” and look myself up. BOOM! There’s my license number and I didn’t have to dig through any paperwork to get to it.
You basically select a course, read the information, and take the test. It gets saved to your profile and you can print or email your certificate. You have to get 80% on the test to pass, but you can take the test as many times as you’d like and you don’t have to wait a certain amount of time in between to re-test.
It would be nice if it had an “estimated time to complete” listed with each course, but you can roughly estimate that by the amount of CEU’s you’ll get if you complete the course.
I completed a 1 credit course in 35 minutes and got 100% (what what!).
Below is a sample of the beginning of one test.
Your account maintains a list of all the CEU’s you’ve earned. Most states don’t require you to submit CEU’s unless they’re auditing you. So basically, you don’t have to print and store them unless you’re getting audited! So if that does happen, you can just log in and print them all (or email them if your state’s BON will allow that) and you’re done. Goodbye overstuffed folder of CEU’s from last year.. miss you never.
Now, Florida and Alabama do require you to submit your CEU’s with every renewal, but get this.. CEUFast.com will report them automatically for you. WHAT! How’s that for easy? My state doesn’t require this but thought that was cool they have that capability.
Below you can see a sample list of CEU’s earned in 2015 and 2014. You can select multiple ones to print or email at once or save them!
You can still use it outside of the US. If you have a US nursing license and are living abroad but need to maintain your license, you can still utilize this service to do so. You must have a US address to open an account, but they provide one for you if you do not have one on their help page.
My overall impression of this site and its services was highly positive. I’m someone who prefers to do things in one place. Filling out a few mail-in CEU tests and keeping that paperwork, doing some at conferences, some online, some in person.. it gets pretty confusing. Unless you’re uber-organized it can be a recipe for disaster and a major headache/hypertensive crisis come renewal time.
The price is reasonable, the site is about as easy to use as it could possibly be, it’s accredited, and everything is in one place. It seriously doesn’t get better or easier in my book.
I personally won’t need this service until next year because of the CEU’s I’ve already completed, but I probably will begin using it exclusively after this next licensure renewal. The convenience, the price, the ease of use.. I just haven’t seen anything else like it.
This website has my Nurse Eye Roll seal of approval!
